Game Bag

       1st Pack-Out(tm) Game Bags.

While we were designing our Elk Pack I thought about game bags.  I have never been satisfied with the game bags I have used. Don't misunderstand me, there was nothing wrong with the bag itself,  I was just not satisfied with the way it attached to the pack frame. You need at least 30 feet of rope.  You  start at one end and wrap and wrap and wrap some more. Those of you that have packed out game know what it's like.

Our new Game Bag eliminates ALL the trouble associated with game bags.  All you need is 10' of rope (included). Center the game bag on your pack (a little above center is best, but every pack frame is different. Find the most comfortable position for your game bag to ride on your pack and on your back). You start at the top grommet and tie the rope and then you go around the pack (as shown in photo on left).  Don't pull the rope too tight, just enough so the game bag won't shift.  (You will see that it doesn't have to be very tight, just snug). A simple knot to tie it off is all you will need.  That's it! Less than 2 minutes and you are ready to pack with a secure load on your pack frame.

If you look at the bottom of this page you will find a company that carries another game bag that I am going to be using this year when I hang my deer.  After you pack your deer back to camp you need a game bag that will cover and protect your deer while it hangs and cools.  The Ultimate Game Bag is a nice, light, strong bag that comes in a convenient 40 foot roll. You cut each game bag to the length you want.  When I cut my first 6 foot bag off of the roll (to give to a friend for his 73 birhtday)  I wanted to see if it would separate where I cut it and come unraveled. It didn't!   I wanted to see if it was going to be big enough to fit around a big deer.  I was impressed at how far it opened up and the more you opened it up the tighter the weave of the material. This means that when you stretch the material over a deer to hang there is not going to be areas where flies can land on and reach your meat. ( it is 100% protected)  I am impressed with the ultimate game bag because you can cut your own bags to fit the game you harvest with complete confidence your game will hang protected and will cool at maximum speed.  Find the link under field care of game at the bottom of this page.
