Elk Pack

I designed this pack with one specific purpose in mind: to pack out that 1st load of elk. But what it does most for you is: SAVES YOU TIME.  It is a real time saver when you are miles from the road and no way to get that 1st load of meat out without a pack frame.  What is it worth to you not to go back to camp to get your pack frame for that 1st load ?  . For those who have never packed out an elk, it is very demanding to say the least.  Cutting up an elk that might be on a very steep incline is no easy chore. When it's all  said and done and your elk is back in camp you would gladly pay someone to do it for you.

Our pack will work with any game that you harvest, elk, moose, caribou, deer, ect...  I had several features  that I wanted to incorporate into the Elk pack.  The first feature was a pack that would fold up and fit into my fanny pack (compact) and the 2nd feature I wanted was a pack that was light weight (11oz)  3rd. I also wanted a material that was strong, waterproof and breathable (goretex). 4th. I wanted nice, comfortable, adjustable  padded straps.  I thought, it would not be possible to incorporate all these features and benefits into the pack that I wanted and still be strong enough to pack the weight.  Well, That's just what I did with my Elk Pack!  As you can see from the photos, the finished product is compact, light weight, fits in your fanny pack, comes with comfortable adjustable  padded straps, and comes with it's own carrying case.  This Pack is designed to carry at least 90 lbs of boneless meat.  I like to take the loins and a hindquarter on my 1st pack-out.  Field dressing and quartering an elk is alot of work.  I like to hang the quarters in game bags to cool for the next trip.  Only pack what you are comfortable with,  taking into account the difficulty of the terrain you must cover back to camp. If it is wet and rainning and your tired a smaller load works best.

It feels good knowing that I have a pack (with me) that takes up very little room and will carry all the weight I want.  If I would have had this pack when I first started hunting, it would have saved me hundreds of hours of extra work.  Now you can benefit from our products, saving you time and energy.

1.) Wash on gentle cycle in warm water with unscented soap. I

recommend Sport Wash. (don't use bleach)

2.) Line dry only.  (Hang from bottom of pack to dry).

3.) When dry, fold and store in carrying case.

Note:  The cleaning of the pack is very simple.  I have used my elk pack several times and all I do is soak it in sport wash and then hand wash and the blood comes right out. It takes very little sport wash to get the pack clean, so use sparingly.

Also, when you are finished washing turn inside-out and wipe the goretex side dry, then turn again and hang it from the bottom and it will dry in a few hours.
